3rd Annual Cool Dads Rock Soapbox Derby Festival
It’s time for the 3rd Annual Soapbox Derby! If you’ve never been, don’t miss this day of fun in the sun watching kids and their Dads race their homemade creations! Last year, as “helmets were donned and goggles lowered, pint sized drivers entered their vehicles for the start of the race… vehicles included Jeeps, Batmobiles and even a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang lookalike!”

The Reluctant Dragon

For 10 more nights over the next 3 weeks, the Essential Theatre Festival is taking place at the West End Performing Arts Center. “Starting out as a satirical look at the world of social media, this quirky comedy takes a turn into deeper territory when Lillian thinks she may have found the perfect guy — unfortunately, he’s dead, but does that really matter if she can still chat with him online? The World Premiere of the Winner of the 2015 Essential Theatre Playwriting Award.”

Jazz on the Lawn with Gwen Hughes
