“I Hate Taxes and Accounting” Course for Real Estate Agents

SDA-GROUP-CLASSThere is a typical timeline that most agents follow with respect to taxes and accounting for their real estate business. Most agents start out with a personal credit card they designate for “business expenses”. At some point, they get hit with a large tax bill because their income grew dramatically. So, they create either an S-Corp or an LLC. Tracking expenses, managing receipts and reconciling accounts is usually something that gets done at the end of the year when it’s tax time (because they are busy selling houses). At some point, they may decide pay themself Payroll to effectively manage business taxes – that brings on the additional responsibility of paying payroll taxes. And, what about estimated taxes? 

If your eyes are glazing over, you’re in good company. Most agents would rather be selling houses than  tracking expenses, worrying about payroll and tax planning. But, it is so important to effective business  management and can cost an agent a bundle if it is put on the back burner.
