Look what is happening in Grant Park!

Our sources indicate that in the coming weeks will see much more renovation to the classic building on the corner of Confederate and Ormewood Avenue.  Our sources also say that the highly anticipated second location of the “Grant Park Coffee Shop” will find it’s home at 760 Confederate along with an Eco-friendly Nail Salon which will be the primary anchor.

As reported by the 760 Confederate developers Facebook Page, “As many have seen, renovation work at the property has commenced and is moving along as planned. We hope to be out of the selective demolition and clean up phase in the coming weeks…. Then we can start putting Humpty back together again.”

So far, 3 of the 5 available bays have been leased (check back in the weeks to come and find out more about those businesses). Bays 2 and 3 remain and have 961 and 964 SF respectively. 

On the corner of Ormewood Avenue and E. Confederate has sat a very lonely brick building.  The building at 760 Confederate Avenue had previous plans to open as a Brick Store Brew Pub, but just like many plans for revitalization around the city (and the nation) the economy put a halt to most neighborhood driven projects.

Many of the Ormewood residents last week noticed trucks and contractors milling about the building and so naturally we got curious and decided to stop by and confirm for ourselves.  Sure enough there has definitely been some busy bees on site and it looks like they are moving forward with sprucing up this classic brick building.  What type of business will be opening here?
