Higher Choir is the epitome of homegrown southern roots rock. Gritty, sweaty, bluesy and soulful? this is how we do rock and roll in the south. Higher Choir brings a raw energy to the stage that?ll make you stomp your boots and do some hoot n’ hollerin’.

Sailing to Denver

SAILING TO DENVER

Stage Time: 3:30pm

What started as a group of friends getting together to learn each other’s favorite songs in 2011, has developed into one of Atlanta’s most original and universally adored acts: Sailing to Denver. Strong vocal harmonies, backed by beautiful and interesting string arrangements, make it difficult to ignore this band?s performance and buzz around town. Each member of the group, having been veterans of many other bands throughout the 2000’s, has developed to become a better player individually, and especially as a unit, since forming. When first seeing them live, it is quickly apparent that they are having as much or more fun than the audience. After releasing their self-titled debut record in Dec, they have been experiencing a wave of momentum that was not only unexpected, but has made the winter of 2013 one of confident creation and cultivation of an act the artists themselves didn’t even see coming. And that is exactly what they are. A band you don’t even see coming. But find yourself at one of Atlanta’s most happenin’ bars or hottest festivals when they are hosting Sailing to Denver and you will be swept away with the tide and everything else.

Wesley Cook

WESLEY COOK

Stage Time: 4:45pm

“Upbeat positivity is a Wes constant, in his music and his attitude”, said Rolling Stone Magazine of the blue-eyed songsmith, and Georgia Music Magazine said that “(Wesley) may just be the next big thing” in a recent publication. Long before these accolades, Wesley Cook was raised in places like small villages in the former West Germany and a city in South Korea with a life-long passion for music and people. As a songwriter, listeners are sure to hear the familiar world and rhythmic influences of Dave Matthews, Paul Simon, Jason Mraz and many more, although he captures a sound that is very much his own. “He’s one of those artists that is very tough to classify… again, that’s fine with him….” said Billboard.com. As a front man, his high-energy showmanship and down-to-earth charm makes it impossible for the crowd not to love him. Wesley has shared the stage with artists such as Zac Brown, Edwin McCain, Mishka, Sublime, Marc Broussard, Angie Aparo, Drivin’n’Cryin, Manchester Orchestra, Joshua James, HoneyHoney, Last Waltz Ensemble, the Bridge and even Shiny Toy Guns.
