Red Robin at Ponce City Market!

After the recent branding change at Red Robin REALTORS, how can there be another big announcement?  Well, birdies, we’ve had an amazing year – many of you are breaking sales records and we’ve doubled in size, with some amazing new agents on our team.

To that end, I’m pleased to announce that we officially have a second office space at Ponce RRR at IndustriousCity Market!  Many of you attended the recent open house for Heritage Bank (Laura Sosa-Rocha and Mark Witte hosted the event) and saw this amazing, upscale executive office space.  After much deliberation, I felt like it was time to take the plunge and that this office was a great opportunity for the company.

I have leased a small office space and will be working there in the mornings, primarily.  But, agents are welcome to use the space and amenities.  Some of these include:

  • Open work space for your use. Bring your laptop and enjoy complimentary WI-FI.
  • Complimentary B/W printing.
  • Very upscale space to meet with prospective clients. Huddle rooms, lounge areas and a “creative” space that includes picnic tables and bright colors to encourage creative thinking.
  • A relaxation room. Need I say more?
  • Complimentary coffee and tea. Pastries and bagels delivered fresh every morning.
  • Larger conference rooms may be reserved for a small fee ($30/hour). This would be great for a Home Buyer Seminar or meeting with a prospective investor/builder.  Or, maybe to organize a meeting with your builder client and a prospective purchaser.  This upscale space at this price is a tremendous opportunity!

As Red Robin REALTORS agents, you are welcome to use these amenities.  Please keep these rules in mind:

  • The open work space is not intended to be your permanent office. It would be abusing our privileges to have agents come and sit in a work space for 8 hours each day.  You could use it in a similar manner that you have used our Ormewood office – come to meet clients, work on a contract, drop of Earnest Money, etc.  Don’t hesitate to use it – it can be a nice change of pace to get into a new environment sometimes!  Just recognize that it’s not meant to be a full-time office for you.
  • Enjoy the pastries, but be mindful that they are there for everyone to enjoy and share.
  • We do not have parking and, as you know, parking is limited at PCM. There is a complimentary bike valet.  There is a complimentary 30-minute parking lot.  You can pay for parking.  Or, there is usually street parking within a couple of blocks.
  • The space is accessible during normal business hours 9:00-5:00, M-F. After hours, it is key card access for both our office space and the elevator.  So, keep that in mind if you are meeting a client after hours.  We have some access cards that may be borrowed.  And, beginning in January, we will have access cards available for a monthly fee if you feel like you want more access to the space after hours.

If you would like a tour of the space, please let me know and I’m happy to show you around.  I would like to encourage everyone to come and see the space during December, so you will know what is available and how to use the amenities.

It’s official! Red Robin REALTORS® has an office at Industrious at the Ponce City Market!

In the heart of the Old Fourth Ward, Ponce City Market is one of the hottest locations on the Atlanta Beltline. The former Sears Catalog Warehouse once housed a showroom, advertising facilities, printing presses, and a loading dock. Catalogs were directly transferred onto freight trains that traveled into the building. This amazing facility has been transformed into one of the most unique live-work-shop-play destinations in our area.

Red Robin REALTORS® is excited about our new adventure. Industrious is located on the 8th floor in the West Tower. This unique space is filled with shared, creative work areas and huddle rooms. Ask Melissa to give you a tour! Stay tuned to our website and Facebook pages for the upcoming press release you can share with your clients!

When Melissa Wakamo began her real estate career in 2004, her goal was to focus on her immediate area and get to know her neighbors. "I've had a lot of fun over the years helping my neighbors sell their homes and helping newcomers become a part of our community."

Melissa quickly became one of metro Atlanta's top producing agents and consistently performed in the top 1% of all Atlanta agents. By 2009, Melissa's real estate team had grown to include several agents and support staff, dedicated to providing exceptional service to buyers and sellers in Atlanta's intown neighborhoods.

In 2010, Melissa transitioned Red Robin REALTORS® into an independently owned boutique brokerage. Even in the tough real estate market during that time, Red Robin REALTORS® continued to outperform other small brokerages and was able to help buyers and sellers adapt to the rapid changes in the market.

In 2017, Melissa had the opportunity to merge the Red Robin REALTORS team with another like-minded boutique brokerage, Keller Knapp Realty. The two community-focused organizations bring together more than 100 agents, including 3 of the top 10 agents in metro Atlanta. With offices in Oakhurst, Ormewood Park and Midtown, Keller Knapp Realty and Red Robin REALTORS team are the top boutique real estate firm in Atlanta.

In her role as Managing Broker, Melissa provides agent training, marketing and strategic oversight for the Brokerage, ensuring that the brokerage maintains its focus and commitment to the intown market.

Melissa's active participation in various neighborhood organizations and charitable efforts, as well as her passion for antiques, cooking, and gardening, keep her busy and in touch with the community.
