Red Robin REALTORS has buyers who are ready to buy!

Do you have a home to sell or an upcoming listing that may be a good fit?

1) Family of four is looking for a classic older home in Grant Park.  Must be 4+ Bedrooms and 2+ Bathrooms.  The home doesn’t have to be huge or even very fancy — the buyers don’t mind doing some cosmetic updates.  But, the flow of the house needs to include good living space for a family and some occasional entertaining.  And, they want classic features to be present in the home.  Location is of the utmost importance to these buyers — they would definitely sacrifice on space or cosmetic improvements to be in a great location.  Price point is up to $550,000, but would prefer to stay under $500,000
2) Family of three is looking for a newer construction or renovated bungalow in Grant Park or Ormewood Park.  Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is fine, although an extra bonus space for an office would be nice.  A yard is important to these buyers — it doesn’t have to be huge, but a nice little yard for a dog and kids.  They would prefer not to have to do any improvements to the house — move-in ready is best, with updated finishes.  A good location and extra storage is important.  Price point is up to $400,000.
3) Single guy is looking for a home in the Ormewood/Grant Park/East Atlanta area.  He would prefer 2 bathrooms, but a 2BR/1BA or 2BR/2BA would be fine.   The house doesn’t have to be large, but location is important (prefers to be farther north in these neighborhoods.  And, the home would preferably be move-in ready.  This buyer would prefer to stay under $250,000.
4) Family of three is looking for their next home with more space!  They are primarily interested in new or newer construction. They like Ormewood Park and Glenwood Park, but would prefer to be north of I-20.  Staying close to downtown is important — they don’t want to go too far east (Lake Claire is too far east for them).  They need a minimum of 4 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus some extra space for an office or 5th bedroom. They would love to have a finished basement or family room for some additional living space.  A garage is a must.  These buyers would prefer to stay around $600,000, but might consider a little higher for the right house in a great location.  Schools are important to them.
5) Single female is looking for the quintessential Grant Park bungalow.  High ceilings, classic features, great natural light.  It can be small and a 2BR/1BA is OK (although 2 bathrooms would be preferred).  A small yard is fine, and probably preferable.  This buyer would prefer to stay under $300,000.

When Melissa Wakamo began her real estate career in 2004, her goal was to focus on her immediate area and get to know her neighbors. "I've had a lot of fun over the years helping my neighbors sell their homes and helping newcomers become a part of our community."

Melissa quickly became one of metro Atlanta's top producing agents and consistently performed in the top 1% of all Atlanta agents. By 2009, Melissa's real estate team had grown to include several agents and support staff, dedicated to providing exceptional service to buyers and sellers in Atlanta's intown neighborhoods.

In 2010, Melissa transitioned Red Robin REALTORS® into an independently owned boutique brokerage. Even in the tough real estate market during that time, Red Robin REALTORS® continued to outperform other small brokerages and was able to help buyers and sellers adapt to the rapid changes in the market.

In 2017, Melissa had the opportunity to merge the Red Robin REALTORS team with another like-minded boutique brokerage, Keller Knapp Realty. The two community-focused organizations bring together more than 100 agents, including 3 of the top 10 agents in metro Atlanta. With offices in Oakhurst, Ormewood Park and Midtown, Keller Knapp Realty and Red Robin REALTORS team are the top boutique real estate firm in Atlanta.

In her role as Managing Broker, Melissa provides agent training, marketing and strategic oversight for the Brokerage, ensuring that the brokerage maintains its focus and commitment to the intown market.

Melissa's active participation in various neighborhood organizations and charitable efforts, as well as her passion for antiques, cooking, and gardening, keep her busy and in touch with the community.
