When is the best time to list?

Now is the peak time of year to sell your home in Atlanta!

One of the most common questions people ask is, “When is the best time to list my home?”  Well, folks, we’re in it!  Generally speaking, Median Home Price peaks in April-June in Atlanta.  And, Days on Market is also typically at its lowest in late spring.

Median Home Prices in Atlanta are steadily climbing, seeing an increase of 9% in the last month alone. Spring 2015 is well on track to repeat last year’s Spring 2014 peak in increased prices. April 2015 Median Sales Price is trending at $239,900.

Similarly, the seasonal trend for Average Days on Market in Atlanta is at its lowest in the Spring.  April 2015 brings about a 6% decrease of days on market over March 2015!  Average DOM in Atlanta is currently at about 50 days, but is even lower in many intown Atlanta neighborhoods with low inventory levels.
